The world's most effective
interpersonal skills model

SOCIAL STYLE® Methodology

Have you ever wondered why you find it really easy to work with some people and not others?

It doesn’t have to be this way. You can create proactive relationships with a wider range of people in a workplace. This skill is completely learnable.

Unlike other training programs, SOCIAL STYLE® focuses on the other person. While it is important to understand yourself, we believe what has the biggest impact on your effectiveness in the workplace is your ability to understand and accept people’s behaviours. SOCIAL STYLE is the only interpersonal skill model that focuses on Versatility.

The core components of our ENS Negotiation and Influencing program highlight the benefits of understanding the Other Party (OP) and focusing on intentional style choices. The SOCIAL STYLE program takes a deeper dive into understanding these concepts and applying across all aspects of interpersonal communication.

The power of SOCIAL STYLE is Versatility

The power of SOCIAL STYLE happens when you come to understand yourselves through the eyes of others, learn to modify your actions to better match others’ needs, and observe again and again how your relationships, communication, and influence with others improves.

This ability to moderate your behaviour is what we call Versatility. Based on observable behaviour you can quickly identify a person’s preferences and make informed choices to make that person comfortable. Versatility is independent of a person’s SOCIAL STYLE.

Social Style = the pattern of behaviour you and other people use most consistently when they interact with others in the workplace.

Versatility = the smallest adjustments you make to accommodate other people’s behaviour preferences. It’s the ability to recognise the preferences of any person and make informed choices about how to best interact with them. This is a completely learnable skill.

Your SOCIAL STYLE® is your preferred way of acting and interacting.  Some people work quickly, others more slowly. Some respond better to data and others to stories or personal experiences.

SOCIAL STYLE Model™ is based on four unique Styles, with each having different ways of using time and predictable ways of interacting and making decisions.

With the SOCIAL STYLEs assessment, you can observe a person and determine their preferences or style. You can then use that information to moderate your behaviour and make that person more comfortable. This is Versatility.

What are the 4 social styles?

  • Driving Style
  • Expressive Style
  • Amiable Style
  • Analytical Style

SOCIAL STYLE

Versatility is a powerful skill that becomes second nature, dramatically improving results.  In fact, Versatility is the best predictor of workplace success, especially among managers and salespeople.

  • More versatile leaders outperform other lower versatile leaders on 47 key leadership competencies.
  • More versatile employees are more productive in teams, can generate productive relationships faster, earn trust faster, and they are more helpful to their peers.

SOCIAL STYLE® has been used by millions of individuals to improve performance.  With multi-rater and self-perception assessments available in more than 20 languages, it’s the preferred interpersonal skills choice for businesses around the world.

Research proves that SOCIAL STYLE training is effective: the need to increase your interpersonal skills with the people you work with and for effective communicators in the workplace is essential.

ENS offer two options to start improving your interpersonal skills:

  • A SOCIAL STYLE Assessment, which measures Versatility so people can understand their strengths and weaknesses when working with others.
  • SOCIAL STYLE training, which teaches you specific techniques to improve Versatility with people of each Style.
