Prior to entering full‐time consulting, Michael held senior management positions with a large multinational working out of Australia, Canada and the United States. He has had extensive international experience in commercial negotiations, influencing organisational change outcomes, business contracts, and in the negotiation of union/management disputes.

Together with co-founder Leo Hawkins, Michael then created ENS International - recognising the need for a negotiation consultancy. Today Michael draws on over 35 years’ experience in empowering individuals and organisations to be more successful in influencing outcomes and negotiating desired agreements.

An internationally recognised keynote speaker in the practical implications of negotiation psychology, cross‐cultural negotiations, mediation, and the dynamics of persuasion, influencing and conflict resolution, Michael brings a wealth of insight, knowledge and practice gained from vast experience to influencing, negotiating and resolving events.

His expertise includes strategic preparation for specific events or planned change and in developing flexible behaviours for managing relationships.
